This is terrific (now that I've figured out how to get the mixer going for my sound card).
What I'd really like to see is the same thing but with (presumably) tri-colour LEDs where the colour varies according to the frequency of the music. Kind of an up-to-date version of the old "chromasonic" or "colour organ" I used to build 50 years ago.

As for the tri-colour LED version... I will have to take a second look at it. But last time I checked the LED's were pretty expensive making the overall unit higher than what most people are willing to spend.

ReplyDeleteI played with this some more. It really works with a lot of classical music ... probably because of the large dynamic range I expect.
You should try "Sorcerer's Apprentice" from Fantasia (or wherever actually).
